Description

These savory ground beef burgers with a touch of Japan are a real treat! The secret lies in the wasabi ketchup, which gives the burgers a pleasant spiciness. I like to make these burgers for barbecues or birthdays because they are easy to prepare and always well received. The recipe is super flexible - you can vary the ground meat as you like. Try it out, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 120 ml Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Wasabi paste
  • 60 g Breadcrumbs
  • 60 ml Whole milk
  • 225 g Ground beef
  • 225 g Ground pork
  • 60 g Onion
  • 1.5 tsp Soy sauce
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare wasabi ketchup

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3, 3 min/140°F/Speed 2 60

Add 120 ml ketchup, 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp wasabi paste to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec/speed 3. Then heat for 3 min./60°C/speed 2 to lightly thicken the sauce.

Prepare breadcrumbs

Mix 60 g breadcrumbs or cubed bread rolls and 60 ml whole milk in a bowl and let sit for 2 minutes.

Prepare burger mixture

Add 225 g ground beef, 225 g ground pork, 60 g chopped onion, 1.5 tsp soy sauce, 0.5 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp pepper to the bowl with the breadcrumbs and mix well.

Shape burgers

Divide the ground meat mixture into 4 equal portions and form approx. 1.5 - 2 cm thick patties. Press the middle in slightly.

Grill burgers

Brush the burgers with some sesame oil and grill on the grill over medium heat for approx. 10 minutes until cooked through. Then let rest for 2 minutes.

Serve burgers

Serve the burgers in a bun with the prepared wasabi ketchup.
