Description

This aromatic herb salt with red wine, prepared in the Thermomix®, refines every dish. The main ingredients are coarse sea salt, red wine, rosemary, sage and thyme. The preparation time is 140 minutes for 10 servings. Ideal as a gift idea, Mediterranean spice or for light cuisine.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 500 g coarse Sea Salt
  • 125 ml Red Wine
  • 5 Stiel Rosemary
  • 2 Stiel Sage
  • 5 Stiel Thyme

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix Sea Salt and Red Wine

10 sec/Speed 3

Add 500 g coarse sea salt and 125 ml red wine to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 3.

Dry Salt

Spread the sea salt-red wine mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let it dry in a preheated oven at 60 °C for approx. 2 hours. Then let it cool completely. This step takes place outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare Herbs

Wash 5 sprigs of rosemary, 2 sprigs of sage and 5 sprigs of thyme, shake dry and pluck the leaves.

Chop Herbs

Put the plucked herbs into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec/speed 7. If necessary, use the spatula to push down from the edge and repeat the process.

Mix Herbs and Salt

15 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 3 Reverse

Add the dried and cooled sea salt together with the chopped herbs to the mixing bowl and mix for 15 sec/reverse/speed 3.

Filling

Pour the finished herb salt into clean, sealable jars and close airtight.
