Description

This baked salmon is a recipe that I adore for its simplicity and the juicy result. Cooking the salmon at a low temperature allows it to be tender and not dry out, perfect for a healthy and delicious meal! The key is to control the temperature and cooking time. I usually accompany it with basmati rice with curry, but some steamed vegetables also go wonderfully with it. It is ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or even for a special occasion. Go ahead and try it, you will love it!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 400 g Fresh salmon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 piece Basmati rice with curry, for garnish
  • 1 piece Extra virgin olive oil

Preparation (5 steps)

Preparation of the salmon

Cut a fresh salmon loin of approximately 400 g, making sure it has a uniform thickness. Set aside.

Preparation of the container

Lightly grease an oven-safe dish with extra virgin olive oil. Place the salmon skin-side down in the dish.

Season the salmon

Season the salmon to taste with salt and pepper. Lightly brush with extra virgin olive oil. Optionally, add aromatic herbs or spices.

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 140°C.

Cooking the salmon

Place the dish with the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. If a temperature probe is available, check that the inside of the fish reaches 49°C.
