Description

This apple pudding is a rustic and fragrant dessert, perfect for breakfast or a snack. Its soft texture and delicate apple flavor make it irresistible. Preparing it is very simple, especially with the help of the Thermomix®! I love it because it's a quick and tasty way to use the apples I have at home, especially in the fall. You can enrich it with a pinch of cinnamon or lemon zest for an extra touch. Try it, it will win you over at the first taste! Ideal to enjoy warm or cold, perhaps accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

About this recipe

The soft apple pudding is a dessert that takes me back in time, to the aromas of grandma's kitchen. I remember she often prepared it, especially when the apples from her tree were ripe and plentiful. It was a simple and genuine way to use seasonal fruit and create a comforting and delicious dessert. The recipe I propose is my interpretation, adapted to the use of the Thermomix®, which makes the preparation even faster and easier. Apples are the main ingredient, of course. I prefer to use Renetta apples, because they have a slightly acidic flavor that goes perfectly with the sweetness of the sugar. Alternatively, you can use Golden Delicious or Granny Smith. Flour is used to give structure to the pudding, while sugar contributes to the sweet flavor and browning in the oven. Margarine, or butter if you prefer, makes the dough softer and moister. Lemon juice is essential to prevent the apples from blackening and to add a note of freshness. Milk is used to bind the ingredients and create a soft consistency. Baking powder makes the pudding rise, making it light and airy. Finally, cinnamon adds a touch of warmth and aroma that goes perfectly with apples. To prepare the pudding with the Thermomix®, start by cutting the apples into small pieces and sprinkling them with lemon juice. Then, in the Thermomix® bowl, combine the apples, sugar, flour, margarine, baking powder and cinnamon. Mix for 20 seconds at speed 3. Add the milk and mix gently with the spatula for 10 seconds at speed 2. This step is important to avoid overworking the dough and to maintain its softness. Grease and flour a baking pan, or use single-portion molds. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 30 minutes, or until the pudding is golden. For a vegetarian version, make sure the margarine is of vegetable origin. For a vegan version, you can replace the margarine with coconut oil and the milk with soy or almond milk. You can also enrich the pudding with other ingredients, such as raisins, chopped walnuts or grated orange zest. The apple pudding is delicious to enjoy warm or cold. You can serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a dusting of powdered sugar or a caramel sauce. It can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days. You can also prepare it in advance and heat it slightly before serving. It is perfect for breakfast, a snack or as a dessert after dinner.
