Description

These kefir naan are a real treat! The recipe is very simple and quick to prepare with the Thermomix®. The milk kefir gives an incredible softness and a slightly acidic flavor that goes perfectly with any dressing. I love them accompanied by hummus or grilled vegetables. Perfect for an informal dinner or a tasty aperitif. The preparation is really quick and the result is guaranteed. Try them, you won't regret it! They are also an excellent alternative to traditional bread.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 250 g Type 0 flour
  • 150 ml Milk kefir
  • 5 g Baking soda
  • 3 g Fine salt

Preparation of the dough

Pour 250g of type 0 flour into the Thermomix bowl. Add 150ml of milk kefir (filtered from the grains) and add 5g of baking soda and 3g of fine salt.

Final dough

Transfer the dough to a floured pastry board and work it with your hands for about 2 minutes until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Dough rest

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

Division of the dough

Take the dough again and divide it into eight equal parts using a dough scraper.

Shape of the balls

Form balls with your hands and let them rest for another half hour covered with a cloth.

Rolling out the discs

Flour the work surface and with a rolling pin roll out each ball forming discs with a diameter of about 12 cm.

Cooking in a pan

Heat a non-stick pan without oiling. Place the first disc inside. Lower the heat and cover with a lid, preferably transparent, so you can control the cooking. After a short time you will see bubbles forming, at this point turn the bread, using a spatula.

Completion of cooking

Cover again with the lid and after a while the bread will begin to swell. Let it cook for a few more seconds to color the surface. Put the naan bread on a plate and proceed to cook the others.
