Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare onions, celery and carrot

Peel and quarter the onions. Clean the celery and cut into rough pieces. Peel the carrot and cut into rough pieces. These preparation steps are important to optimally prepare the ingredients for the Thermomix.

Chop vegetables

Place the prepared onions, celery and carrot in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec/speed 5. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Add 30 g of butter to the chopped vegetables in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 1.

Add flour and curry

Add 1.5 tbsp wheat flour type 405 and 1.5 tsp curry powder to the mixing bowl and sauté for 1 min/100°C/speed 1.

Boil broth

Add 1 l chicken broth to the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 10 min/100°C/speed 1.

Prepare apple and chicken

Quarter 1 small red apple, remove the core and cut into cubes. Wash 1 chicken breast, pat dry and cut into cubes. These preparation steps are important to optimally prepare the ingredients for the cooking process.

Cook soup

Add the prepared apple cubes, chicken cubes and 100 g rice to the mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper and 1 tsp dried thyme and cook for 20 min/100°C/Reverse speed 1.

Add 125 g cream to the mixing bowl and stir in for 2 min/80°C/Reverse speed 1. Season with salt and pepper to taste if necessary.
