Description

This hearty crab egg feast is a quick and uncomplicated dish that is perfect for a relaxed evening. The combination of juicy crab, aromatic dill and fresh carrots makes this dish a real taste experience. I love how quickly it is prepared and how well it can be enjoyed on multigrain bread. The gherkins give the whole thing a nice acidity. A great recipe if you need something quick and still want something hearty on the table. Also ideal for a quick lunch or a hearty brunch!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 300 g Frozen North Sea prawns
  • 2 piece Onions
  • 1 bunch Dill
  • 2 piece Carrots
  • 4 piece Eggs (Gr. M)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter
  • 100 ml White wine
  • 200 g Gherkins
  • 4 slice Multigrain bread

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop onions and carrots

Peel the onions, halve them and put them in the mixing bowl with the peeled carrots. Chop for 5 sec./level 5. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Sauté the vegetables

Add clarified butter and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add prawns and wine

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the thawed prawns and white wine. Simmer for 5 min./100°C/level 1 without a measuring cup until the wine has almost evaporated.

Add eggs and let set

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add the whisked and seasoned eggs (with salt, pepper and half of the dill) to the mixing bowl. Let it set for 5 min./90°C/reverse rotation level 1 without a measuring cup. Carefully fold in with the spatula.

Arrange

Place the sailor's feast on the multigrain bread slices. Sprinkle with the sliced gherkins and the remaining dill.
