Description

Savory Mushroom-Ham Pockets from the Thermomix® are a hearty finger food with mushrooms, ham and mountain cheese. Refined with thyme, they are ideal for parties or as a Mediterranean appetizer. Preparation takes about 50 minutes and yields 6 servings. Suitable as a snack, main course or for a hearty family meal.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 250 g Mushrooms
  • 1 EL Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 100 g cooked Ham in slices
  • 150 g Mountain cheese (piece)
  • 3 Stiele Thyme
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 100 g Mascarpone
  • 270 g Puff pastry

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare mushrooms

Clean 250 g mushrooms, wash if necessary and slice. Set aside.

Fry mushrooms

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan and fry the prepared mushrooms in it until no more moisture is present. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Prepare ham

Cut 100 g sliced cooked ham into strips. Set aside.

Grate cheese

Thermomix® Setting

Place 150 g mountain cheese in pieces in the mixing bowl and grate for 10 sec./speed 7. Transfer and set aside.

Prepare thyme

Wash 3 sprigs of thyme, shake dry and pluck the leaves. Set aside.

Prepare cheese cream

Place 2 eggs, 100 g mascarpone, the plucked thyme leaves and the grated cheese in the mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Prepare puff pastry

Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat (180°C fan oven). Unroll 1 pack. Puff pastry (270 g) from the refrigerated section and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cut the dough into 6 rectangles (approx. 12 x 13 cm each).

Top puff pastry

Spread the cheese cream in the middle of the puff pastry rectangles. Distribute the fried mushrooms and ham on top. Fold the corners of the dough pieces towards the center and press together.

Brush puff pastry

Whisk 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp water and brush the puff pastry pockets with it.

Baking

Bake the prepared puff pastry pockets in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
