Description

This Savoy cabbage potato gratin from the Thermomix® is a hearty and vegetarian main course with potatoes, savoy cabbage and cream. The preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 60 minutes, of which 30 minutes are active working time. The recipe is designed for 6 servings and is ideal as a family meal or for autumnal cuisine. The combination of potatoes and cabbage makes the casserole particularly filling.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 800 g firm cooking potatoes
  • 1000 g Savoy cabbage
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 2 EL Butter
  • 150 ml Vegetable broth
  • 250 g Cream
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • nach Geschmack Nutmeg
  • 150 g grated Cheese

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop onion

Put 1 onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté onion

Add 2 tbsp butter to the chopped onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Prepare savoy cabbage

Quarter 1 kg savoy cabbage, remove the stalk and cut the cabbage into small pieces. Set aside.

Steam savoy cabbage

Add the chopped savoy cabbage and 150 ml vegetable broth to the onions in the mixing bowl and steam for 10 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1.

Prepare potatoes

Peel and dice 800 g firm cooking potatoes. Place in a separate pot, cover with cold water, add salt and pre-cook for 10 minutes. Drain.

Prepare cream

Mix 250 g cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg in a bowl. Set aside.

Layer casserole

Place the pre-cooked potatoes and the steamed savoy cabbage in a casserole dish and mix.

Add cream and cheese

Pour the cream over the potato-savoy cabbage mixture. Sprinkle 150 g grated cheese over it.

Bake casserole

Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for 30 minutes until golden brown.
