Description

This stewed chicken with mushrooms is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a family meal. The recipe is simple and is prepared in a short time with the Thermomix®. The chicken is tender and juicy, while the mushrooms add a delicious earthy touch. I usually use chicken hindquarters because they are juicier, but any part of the chicken works well. Serve this dish with white rice or mashed potatoes for a complete and satisfying meal. It is a guaranteed success!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 4 pieza Chicken (hindquarters)
  • 200 gramos Fresh whole or canned Mushrooms
  • 0.5 piece Onion
  • 0.5 piece Green or red Pepper
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 1 rama Parsley
  • 1 container White wine
  • 1 container Water
  • 1 chorro Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 cucharadita Cornstarch (optional)

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare the chicken

Cut the chicken into medium pieces and season with salt and pepper to taste. Reserve.

Brown the chicken

In a pan with a drizzle of olive oil, brown the chicken pieces on all sides. Remove the chicken and reserve.

Chop onion and pepper

Introduce the onion and pepper into the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sec./speed 5. Lower the remains of the walls with the spatula.

Sauté the vegetables

3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add a splash of olive oil to the bowl and sauté the onion and pepper 3 Min./120°C/speed 1.

Add garlic and parsley

Thermomix® Setting
3 Seg./Speed 7

Add the garlic cloves and parsley to the bowl and chop 3 Sec./speed 7. Lower the remains of the walls with the spatula.

Incorporate the chicken and mushrooms

Add the browned chicken, mushrooms, white wine and water to the bowl. Stir with the spatula to mix well.

Cook the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
30 min/212°F/Giro a la izquierda/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Program 30 Min./100°C/Turn to the left/speed 1. Verify that the chicken is tender. If necessary, cook a few more minutes.

Thicken the sauce (optional)

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

If a thicker sauce is desired, dissolve the cornstarch in a little cold water and add to the bowl. Program 3 Min./100°C/speed 2.
