Description

This apricot and cumin chicken is a dish I often prepare when I want something tasty and easy to make. The chicken thighs, marinated in a sweet and sour sauce with apricot jam, chili pepper and cumin, become incredibly tender and flavorful. The marinade of at least 6 hours is essential to allow the flavors to penetrate well. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends or for a Sunday family lunch. The spicy touch of chili pepper combines perfectly with the sweetness of the apricot, creating a balance of flavors that conquers everyone. Serve it with a side of basmati rice or baked potatoes for a complete and satisfying meal.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken thighs
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 3 tsp Apricot jam
  • 1 q.b. Hot red chili pepper flakes
  • 1 q.b. Cumin seeds
  • 1 q.b. Salt

Preparation of the marinade

Pour the apricot jam, garlic cloves and chili pepper flakes into the bowl. Add the cumin seeds. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. 10 Sec./Stufe 3

Marinating the chicken

Add the chicken thighs to the bowl with the jam and spice mixture. Gently mix with the spatula to coat the chicken well with the marinade. Transfer everything to a food bag and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.

Baking in the oven

After the marinating time, transfer the chicken to a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Salt adequately. Bake at 200°C for about 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and cooked.

Service

When cooked, remove from the oven and serve the chicken, basting it with a little of the cooking juices.
