Description

Filled nougat rectangles are a delicious Thermomix® pastry with margarine, sugar, egg, flour and nut nougat filling. These cookies are ideal as a Christmas dessert or finger food. Preparation takes about 60 minutes, including 30 minutes of work, and yields about 20 servings. Perfect for the winter coffee table or as a sweet treat for the whole family.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 100 g Margarine (at room temperature)
  • 60 g Sugar
  • 1 Prise Iodized salt
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 200 g Flour
  • 160 g Nut nougat (firm mass, baking shelf)
  • 100 g Chocolate or cake glaze
  • Baking paper

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4, 10 sec/Speed 3, 2 min/Kneading speed

Put 100 g margarine at room temperature, 60 g sugar and 1 pinch of iodized salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 4. Add 1 egg and stir in for 10 sec/speed 3. Add 200 g flour and process for 2 min/kneading level to a smooth dough.

Roll out and shape dough

Roll out the dough in portions to a thickness of approx. 3 mm on baking paper or a lightly floured work surface. Cut into elongated rectangles (approx. 5 x 10 cm). Cover with a piece of firm nut nougat mass (approx. 160g total), fold over and press the edges firmly together with a fork.

Baking

Bake the nut nougat cushions on baking sheets lined with baking paper in a preheated oven at 200 °C (convection: 180 °C) for 12-15 minutes until the cookies are lightly browned. Remove from the baking sheet with the baking paper and let cool on a wire rack.

Melt chocolate

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Put 100 g chocolate in pieces into the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min/50°C/speed 2. If necessary, use the spatula to push it away from the edge and repeat the process until the chocolate is completely melted.

Decorate

Decorate the cooled nut nougat cushions with chocolate stripes or, for example, dip only one corner into the chocolate.
