  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 250 g Low-fat curd
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 200 g Hazelnut cream

In dessert glasses or a bowl, first add a layer of chopped ladyfingers, then a layer of cream and some hazelnut cream on top. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used up. Finish with hazelnut cream.

This Nutella layered dessert is a little trip back to my childhood for me. My grandma often made similar desserts, although without a Thermomix® and mostly with other flavors, but the principle of the layered delicacy has remained. The ingredients are deliberately kept simple, but each one contributes to the overall experience. The ladyfingers form the basis, they absorb the moisture of the cream and become wonderfully soft. Their slightly sweet, vanilla-like note harmonizes perfectly with the hazelnut cream. The mascarpone ensures an incredibly creamy texture and a full-bodied taste, which is somewhat absorbed by the low-fat curd to prevent the dessert from being too heavy. The sugar contributes the sweetness, but you can vary this according to your preference. The whipped cream brings an airy lightness to the cream and makes it particularly tender. And of course the hazelnut cream, the heart of the dessert! It provides the intense hazelnut flavor and the typical sweetness that makes this dessert so special. When preparing in the Thermomix®, it is important not to chop the ladyfingers too finely. They should still retain a certain structure so that the dessert does not become too mushy. Be careful when whipping the cream! The Thermomix® is very efficient here, and the cream can quickly turn into butter. Therefore, be sure to maintain visual contact and stop the process as soon as the cream is stiff. Patience is required when folding the cream into the mascarpone-curd mixture. Use a spatula and carefully fold in the cream to maintain the airiness. The recipe is suitable for a vegetarian version anyway. A vegan version is a little more complex, but feasible. Here you could replace the mascarpone and curd with vegan alternatives based on cashew or almond. The cream can be replaced with vegan whipped cream. With the ladyfingers, you have to make sure that they do not contain any eggs. In terms of taste, you can vary the dessert wonderfully. A shot of amaretto or rum in the cream gives the dessert a classy touch. A little cocoa powder or cinnamon in the crushed ladyfingers provides additional flavors. Serve the dessert well chilled in pretty glasses or a large bowl. A few fresh berries, such as raspberries or strawberries, go perfectly with it and form a nice contrast to the sweetness of the hazelnut cream. Chopped hazelnuts or chocolate sprinkles are a great decoration and provide additional crunch. A dollop of whipped cream on top makes the dessert perfect.
