Description

This chermoula chicken with potatoes is a flavorful and easy one-pan dish, perfect for a family dinner or with friends. Chermoula, a North African marinade made from herbs and spices, gives the chicken an intense and delicious aroma. The potatoes, cooked with the chicken, absorb all the flavors and become incredibly tasty. I prepare it often, especially when I have little time but want something substantial and flavorful. A suggestion? Serve it with a fresh salad for a complete and balanced meal. Also ideal for those looking for a gluten-free dish!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • Chicken thighs
  • Potatoes
  • to taste Chermoula
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare chicken thighs

Remove the skin from the chicken thighs to allow the chermoula to penetrate the meat better. Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl.

Add the chermoula

Add about 10 tablespoons of chermoula to the chicken thighs in the bowl. Make sure the thighs are completely covered with the chermoula. Mix well.

Prepare the potatoes

Peel the potatoes, rinse them and cut them into cubes of about 1.5 cm per side. Add the cubed potatoes to the bowl with the chicken and chermoula.

Transfer to the baking dish

Grease a baking dish with extra virgin olive oil. Transfer the chicken thighs and potatoes to the baking dish, making sure to also pour all the chermoula present in the bowl.

Season and bake

Season with salt and drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the chicken and potatoes. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the baking dish and cook for 40-45 minutes.

Serve

Once cooked, serve the chermoula chicken with potatoes, adding more fresh chermoula to taste.
