Description

This creamy chicken with yogurt and cardamom is a dish I often prepare when I want something comforting and flavorful. Marinating in Greek yogurt makes the meat incredibly tender, while cardamom and green chili add an exotic and slightly spicy touch. It is perfect for a family dinner or with friends, accompanied by parsley potatoes or basmati rice. The preparation is quick and easy, but the marinating takes some time, so I recommend preparing it in advance. A real comfort food!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 4 persone Doses
  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 500 g Greek yogurt
  • 3 clove Garlic
  • 1 tsp Cardamom
  • 1 piece Green chilli
  • 50 ml Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch Salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparing the chicken

Sear the chicken to remove any residual feathers and cut it into pieces, discarding the wing tips.

Marinating the chicken

Transfer the chicken pieces to a baking dish and pour the Greek yogurt over them. Squeeze the garlic cloves into the baking dish, add the cardamom and mix well with your hands to completely cover the chicken. Cover with cling film and leave to marinate for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Browning the chicken

Pour the extra virgin olive oil into the Thermomix bowl. Add the marinated chicken with all the yogurt. Cook for 10 Min./Varoma/Setting 1.

Cooking the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
50 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the green chilli cut into rounds (without seeds) and the salt. Cook for 50 Min./100°C/Setting 1/Reverse.

Blending the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
30 Sec./Speed 8-10

Remove the chicken from the bowl and set aside. Blend the cooking juices for 30 Sec./Speed 8, gradually increasing to Speed 10, until a velvety cream is obtained.

Serving

Serve the chicken pieces topped with the yogurt cream.
