Description

This rustic chicken with peppers is a dish that brings me back to the flavors of my childhood. The tender meat, sweet peppers and juicy cherry tomatoes come together in a harmony of flavors that wins you over at the first taste. Preparing it is very simple, especially with the help of our trusted Thermomix®! Perfect for a family dinner or a Sunday lunch, this dish is a true comfort food. You can accompany it with homemade bread to collect the tasty sauce. A tip? Use peppers of different colors for an even more inviting result!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • Chicken
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Peppers
  • White wine
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (9 steps)

Preparation of the peppers

Remove the seeds and white filaments from the peppers and cut them into pieces. Set aside.

Preparation of the cherry tomatoes and onion

Divide the cherry tomatoes in half. Finely slice the onion. Set aside.

Brown the chicken

Cut the chicken into pieces. In a pan, brown the chicken pieces with extra virgin olive oil until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and keep it warm.

Deglaze with the wine

In the same pan, deglaze the browned chicken with white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate for a few seconds.

Sauté onion and garlic

Put the sliced onion and garlic cloves in the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 3 Sec./Speed 5. Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Speed 1.

Add the peppers

Add the chopped peppers to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 5 Min./120°C/Speed 1.

Add the cherry tomatoes and the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the halved cherry tomatoes and the browned chicken to the Thermomix bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Speed 1/Reverse.

Baking in the oven

Transfer the chicken with the vegetables to a baking dish suitable for oven cooking. Bake at 180°C in static mode for 40 minutes.

Serve

Remove the baking dish from the oven and serve the chicken hot with the peppers.
