Description

These puff pastry bites filled with a delicious tuna cream are perfect for a tasty appetizer or a quick-to-prepare starter. The tuna sauce, enriched with pickles and mayonnaise, is creamy and flavorful, ideal for filling the vol-au-vents. I often prepare them when I have unexpected guests and want to offer something tasty and original. The preparation is really simple and quick, perfect also for those who do not have much experience in the kitchen. A nice idea is to decorate each bite with a small piece of cherry tomato and fresh parsley for a touch of color and freshness. Ideal for a summer buffet or a birthday party!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 12 piece vol-au-vent
  • 110 g drained tuna in olive oil
  • 70 g pickles
  • 40 g mayonnaise
  • cherry tomatoes for decoration
  • parsley for decoration

Preparation of the tuna sauce

Insert the drained tuna in olive oil and pickles into the bowl. Blend for 10 Sec./Stufe 5.

Add the mayonnaise to the bowl and blend again for 15 Sec./Stufe 4, until you get a homogeneous sauce.

Filling the vol-au-vents

Arrange the vol-au-vents on a tray. Transfer the tuna sauce to a pastry bag (or use a teaspoon) and gently fill each vol-au-vent.

Decoration

Decorate each vol-au-vent with pieces of cherry tomato and fresh chopped parsley.
