Description

This dish of beef strips with peppers and spring onions is a classic of Italian cuisine, perfect for a tasty and colorful dinner. The tender meat goes perfectly with the sweetness of the peppers and the fresh flavor of the spring onions. I often prepare it when I have guests for dinner, because it is easy to make and everyone always likes it. The preparation is quick, about 35 minutes, and the result is a dish full of flavor and aroma. A tip? Serve it with homemade bread to mop up the sauce!

  • 1 piece Boneless beef steak
  • 1 bunch Spring onions
  • 1 piece Mixed peppers
  • 0.05 l Extra virgin olive oil (EVO)
  • 200 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch

Preparation of the spring onions

Cut the white part of the spring onions into quarters or halves. Set aside the green part for later. Insert the white part into the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Level 5.

Sauté the spring onions

Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to the bowl and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Level 1.

Preparation of the peppers

Clean the peppers by removing the white part and the seeds, then cut them into small pieces. Add the peppers to the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Level 4.

Cooking the peppers

Cook the peppers in the bowl for 5 Min./120°C/Level 1.

Preparation of the meat

Cut the beef steak into strips. Heat a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and sauté the meat over high heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper.

Adding the meat and broth

Add the cooked meat to the bowl with the peppers and spring onions. Dissolve a tablespoon of cornstarch in a generous ladle of hot vegetable broth. Pour the broth into the bowl.

Complete the cooking

Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Level 1, until the sauce reduces. Add the finely chopped green part of the spring onions.
