Description

This chicken in wine is a rustic and flavorful dish, perfect for a comforting dinner. The chicken meat, tender and succulent, goes perfectly with the rich flavor of the red wine, creating an irresistible combination. Garlic, sage and rosemary add an aromatic touch that makes this dish even more special. The preparation is quick and easy, ideal for those who have little time but do not want to give up taste. Excellent accompanied by baked potatoes or mashed potatoes. A true comfort food!

  • Red wine
  • Garlic
  • Sage
  • Rosemary
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • 2 foglia Bay leaf

Preparation (5 steps)

Aromas in the oil

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Pour the extra virgin olive oil into the mixing bowl. Add the cloves of garlic (one head), the sage leaves (about ten), two bay leaves and a small sprig of rosemary. Heat for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Brown the chicken

5 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma Reverse

Add the pieces of chicken to the mixing bowl and brown for 5 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1/Linkslauf. Make sure the chicken is well browned on all sides.

Cooking in wine

Thermomix® Setting
40 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Pour the red wine into the mixing bowl until it almost covers the pieces of chicken. Close the mixing bowl and cook for 40 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Addition of water (if necessary)

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

If the liquid reduces too much during cooking, add a little hot water to the mixing bowl. Continue cooking for the remaining 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Plate

Pour the chicken into a serving dish and coat it with the wine cooking sauce. Serve hot.
