Description

This gnocchi casserole with tomatoes and mozzarella is a quick and easy main course from the Thermomix®. With just a few ingredients such as gnocchi, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and strained tomatoes, a delicious vegetarian casserole is created. Preparation takes about 45 minutes, the active working time is only 15 minutes. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is ideal for light, Italian cuisine or as an uncomplicated family meal.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 600 g Gnocchi
  • 200 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 125 g Mozzarella
  • 150 ml Strained tomatoes
  • 2 EL Chopped herbs
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat. This step takes place outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare gnocchi, tomatoes and mozzarella

Put 600 g of uncooked gnocchi in a casserole dish. Halve 200 g of cherry tomatoes and add to the gnocchi. Cut 125 g of mozzarella into slices. This step takes place outside of the Thermomix.

Chop herbs

Put 2 tbsp of herbs (e.g. oregano, basil) into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 8.

Prepare and season tomato sauce

Thermomix® Setting

Put 150 ml of strained tomatoes, the chopped herbs, salt and pepper into the mixing bowl and stir for 5 sec./speed 3.

Mix gnocchi with tomato sauce

Pour the tomato sauce from the mixing bowl over the gnocchi and tomatoes in the casserole dish and mix well. This step takes place outside of the Thermomix.

Top and bake casserole

Spread the mozzarella slices on the casserole. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until the mozzarella is melted and lightly browned. This step takes place outside of the Thermomix.
