Description

This simple tomato sauce is an absolute must in every kitchen! I always like to make it because it is so incredibly versatile. With just a few ingredients, you can conjure up a delicious base for pasta, pizza or casseroles in no time at all. The San Marzano tomatoes give the sauce a special sweetness and aroma. Preparation in the Thermomix® is super easy and quick, so you can quickly put something delicious on the table even after a long day. The sauce is vegetarian, vegan and can be wonderfully pre-cooked or frozen. A real all-rounder!

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

1 piece Onion
800 g Peeled tomatoes - can
75 g Butter
0.25 tsp Salt

Preparation (3 steps)

Chop onion

Peel 1 onion, halve and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Cook tomato sauce

30 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 800 g peeled tomatoes (canned), 75 g butter and 1/4 tsp salt to the onions in the mixing bowl. Cook for 30 min./100°C/speed 1. Use the spatula to crush the tomatoes a little.
