Description

These hearty puff pastry snails with salmon are a real eye-catcher on any buffet! I love making them because they are so quick and easy to prepare. The salty smoked salmon harmonizes perfectly with the creamy cream cheese and fresh dill. They are a pleasure warm, but also taste wonderful cold. Ideal for parties, brunch or simply as a delicious snack in between. If you like it a little heartier, you can use ham instead of salmon. An absolute favorite recipe!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1 Rolle(n) Puff pastry refrigerated section
  • 100 g Cream cheese
  • 200 g Smoked salmon in slices
  • 1 etwas Dill
  • 1 Ei(er) Egg

Preparation (5 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 200 °C convection. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and have it ready.

Stir cream cheese

Put 100 g cream cheese into the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3 to make it smoother.

Cover puff pastry

Roll out the puff pastry and spread the stirred cream cheese evenly on it. Place 200 g smoked salmon in slices on top and sprinkle with some dill.

Shape and cut snails

Roll the topped puff pastry into a snail. Cut approx. 1 cm thick slices with a sharp knife.

Brush and bake snails

Place the puff pastry snails on the prepared baking sheet. Whisk 1 egg and brush the snails with it. Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown.
