Description

This dish of whole wheat spaghetti with tuna and peas is a quick, healthy, and delicious option for any day of the week. I often prepare it when I have little time, but I want to eat something nutritious and tasty. The combination of tuna with peas and the touch of grated Parmesan cheese is simply irresistible. In addition, by using whole wheat pasta, we increase the fiber content and make it an even more complete meal. It is perfect for a quick weekday meal or even to take to work. Go ahead and try it, you will love it! You can add a little freshly ground pepper to give it an extra touch of flavor.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 225 grs whole wheat spaghetti
  • 2 latas tuna in oil
  • 1 piece large onion
  • 150 grs frozen peas
  • 100 grs finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste ground pepper
  • to taste Virgin olive oil

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop the onion

Introduce 1 large onion into the bowl and chop for 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté the onion

Add virgin olive oil to the bowl (approximately 2 tablespoons) and sauté the onion for 3 minutes at 120°C at speed 1.

Add the peas

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Incorporate 150 grams of frozen peas into the bowl along with the onion. Program 5 minutes at 100°C at speed 1.

Cook the pasta

Meanwhile, cook 225 grams of whole wheat spaghetti in a pot with boiling water and salt, following the package instructions. Drain the pasta once cooked.

Heat the tuna

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add 2 cans of tuna in oil (drained) to the bowl with the peas and onion. Program 2 minutes at 90°C at speed 1 with left turn to not break the tuna.

Mix the pasta with the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/158°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 70 Reverse

Incorporate the cooked whole wheat spaghetti into the bowl and mix gently for 1 minute at 70°C at speed 1 with left turn.

Serve

Serve the whole wheat spaghetti with tuna and peas immediately, sprinkling 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese on top and a little ground pepper to taste.
