Description

This salmon with capers and lemon is an absolute favorite dish of mine when I need something quick! The combination of the tender salmon, the acidity of the lemon, and the salty capers is simply unbeatable. I like to use frozen salmon because it's always available. This dish is perfect for a light lunch or dinner and can be wonderfully served with a fresh salad or some baguette. Preparation in the oven is super easy and guaranteed to succeed!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 4 Scheibe/n Salmon Frozen
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 Zehe/n Garlic
  • 10 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Capers
  • 1 etwas Salt
  • 1 etwas Pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare baking dish

Grease a baking dish with 2 tbsp olive oil. This is to prevent the salmon from sticking to the dish and getting a nice crust. No Thermomix setting required.

Chop garlic

Put 2 cloves of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7. This will finely chop the garlic and allow it to develop its aroma optimally.

Cover and season salmon

Place the salmon, still frozen, in the baking dish. Spread the chopped garlic on the salmon. Drizzle 4 tbsp lemon juice and 8 tbsp olive oil over it. Sprinkle with 4 tbsp capers and season with some salt and pepper. No Thermomix setting required.

Bake salmon

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake at 180 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 30 min. No Thermomix setting required.
